What is a Mushroom Liquid Culture?

A Mushroom Liquid Culture is a syringe containing living mushroom mycelium suspended in a sterile nutrient solution. The solution keeps the living culture viable and evenly distributed. It contains established mycelium rather than dormant spores.

What is a Psilocybe cubensis Liquid Culture?

A Psilocybe cubensis Liquid Culture is a syringe containing living Psilocybe cubensis mycelium in a sterile nutrient solution. Our assortment includes a wide range of Psilocybe cubensis varieties, each described in more detail on its own product page.

How does Liquid Culture differ from mushroom spores?

A Liquid Culture contains already-living mycelium, while spore products contain spores that must first germinate before mycelium develops. Because a Liquid Culture already holds established mycelium, the initial germination stage is bypassed.

How should Liquid Culture be stored and how long does it last?

Store Liquid Cultures refrigerated at 3–8°C. Kept correctly refrigerated, they have a shelf life of up to 6 months. Proper refrigeration helps preserve the viability of the living mycelium.

Do you also offer gourmet mushroom Liquid Cultures?

Our assortment mainly consists of Psilocybe cubensis cultures, with a small selection of gourmet options. Tree Oyster and King Oyster Mushroom Liquid Cultures are currently available for customers interested in non-Psilocybe species.
