What is a Mushroom Spore Syringe?

A mushroom spore syringe contains microscopic fungal spores suspended in sterile demineralised water. The demi-water keeps the spores evenly dispersed inside the syringe. It holds spores rather than living mycelium.

What is the difference between a Spore Syringe and a Spore Vial?

Both contain fungal spores in sterile liquid, but the format differs. A spore syringe holds the suspension directly inside the syringe, while a spore vial stores it in a vial with a separate syringe supplied where applicable.

What is the difference between a Spore Syringe and Liquid Culture?

A spore syringe contains fungal spores suspended in sterile demineralised water, an earlier biological stage. A liquid culture contains already-developed living mycelium suspended in a sterile nutrient solution. They are separate products.

How should Mushroom Spore Syringes be stored?

Store spore syringes refrigerated between 6–8°C. Cool storage helps preserve spore viability. Always follow any additional product-specific storage information.

How long do Mushroom Spore Syringes last?

When refrigerated correctly, mushroom spore syringes have a shelf life of up to 12 months. Viability is not guaranteed beyond the stated storage period.

What is included with a Mushroom Spore Syringe?

Each product includes a pre-filled spore syringe, a syringe needle and disinfectant wipes. The spore suspension is already contained inside the syringe.
