About Azurescens – Psilocybe azurescens

Azurescens is associated with the species Psilocybe azurescens, a wood-decomposing mushroom native to coastal regions of the Pacific Northwest (USA). Unlike Psilocybe cubensis, which typically develops in dung-rich substrates, P. azurescens is classified as a lignicolous species, naturally colonizing hardwood debris and sandy coastal soils enriched with wood matter.
